Designed and branded by TXI, Pavegrow ® is a blend of TXI's Expanded Shale and Clay lightweight aggregate and a suitable sandy clay loam properly mixed and compacted for use as a permeable surface and growing medium used on golf courses – on the edges of cart paths that are worn, rutted and washed out from cart traffic and other heavy equipment. Furthermore, fairway crossings, problem slopes, aesthetic paving, and special parking areas are also issues that will see extensive improvement with the advent of Pavegrow ® technology. Pavegrow ® also reduces erosion and is an excellent growing medium with load carrying capacity.
Pavegrow ® provides an aesthetically pleasing, permeable surface that satisfies increasing requirements for "green space" and generates less heat than asphalt or concrete while reducing water runoff and erosion that has been invaluable in buildings, churches, sports stadiums, and arenas as an alternative to traditional paving systems with the load carrying capacity needed.
