Expanded Shale and Clay has a long track record of quality
performance in uses as surface treatment (chip seal, seal
coat,
de-icing aggregate), construction aggregate, leachate
aggregate, agricultural growing medium and geotechnical
engineering applications.
Other uses for this aggregate include: infield
conditioner for sports fields, mortar designs, asphalt
designs, walks and walkways, and decorative uses (flower
beds, tree rings, etc.). This material is economically
shipped long distances because its density is about half
that of normal sand and gravel.
