Transform The Construction Industry
TXI’s rotary-kiln lightweight aggregate has revolutionized the
ability to design and build stronger, longer-lasting, greener structures
ranging from highways to high-rise buildings.
Such a great process deserves a great name. The naming of this process
is an important industry event and we are turning to you — the
engineering and architectural community — to do it.
Vote. Last month we asked for ideas and we received over a hundred great
ones. We’ve narrowed it down to a few finalists. Now, we would
like you to vote for final name.

Here’s what you need to know. The selected name will express in a
compelling way the important characteristics of internal curing using
TXI’s rotary-kiln lightweight aggregate.
TXI lightweight aggregate enhances the concrete curing process from the
inside out (internal curing) to provide the following:
- Greatly increased service life to provide more sustainable structures and increased return on investment
- Reduction or elimination of drying and plastic shrinkage cracking of concrete
- Abatement of alkali-silica reactivity (ASR), which eliminates costly repair or replacement of structural members
- Significantly reduced maintenance cost by mitigating the cracking of concrete
- Considerably Improved microstructure and durability of concrete
- Potential for LEED credit(s) toward innovative design by extending the service life of concrete
Participating is easy. Simply vote for your favorite name on the right and then fill out the form.
